Why Being Bold Is Necessary Today
This past weekend, I really began to do a lot of thinking as far as where I want this blog to go. I feel as though I’ve come into a nice flow again, because I’m adding a certain degree of personal experience into these posts. One of the dangers I initially felt with getting more personal with my blog, is exposing too much of my ideas that I feel were too deep for people to handle. However, I think I’ve come to the realization that everyone has issues and problems that they all face, so bringing the darker issues out to the surface is not such a bad thing after all.
Not only is this a wonderful release for me on a creative level, but quite honestly it is what is keeping my sanity.
I watched this movie called Shutter Island this past weekend. I honestly, found this movie to be disturbing, and actually felt like that movie really made me loose my mind for a few hours after having seen it. It’s kind of crazy how movies can have that much effect on someone. It made me think of like how insane the mind can really be. I won’t give the movie away, but the movie took place in a psychiatric ward where people with severe mental disabilities and reminded me a lot of the movie Girl Interrupted.
I began to trip out, while watching the movie, because I have to say on here that I do have frequent nightmares of past lives where I deal with old wounds that surface around my lives in the past.
I guess that’s why I write these blogs. To find some sense of relief of the wounds and scars that I felt I’ve gone through in my own past. A lot of times I do feel like a wounded healer in some ways, wherein what I’ve learned from being hurt and causing pain in the past is something I can teach others about.
I think it is important to release these past traumas that come in the form of dreams for me, into written word so that if anyone else is having trouble with these subconscious mind can relate.
Looking back at my life thus far, I can say I’ve seen a lot in both the physical realms and the deeper realms that few people ever delve into in fear that they will be criticized as being “crazy” or “insane.” That’s why I feel I’m qualified to continue to write these blogs, because I have a lot of experience just with life. I have seen like the cycle that we all go through because in a lot of ways I’ve been through these cycles over and again.
I feel like an old soul, this is not always an easy thing because this world is filled with temptation and the urge to call people back to ways in which don’t longer serve the individual.
I am learning to let go of this fear as I continue to step into my inner space of clarity, and continue to focus on the good that is coming along in my life, while accepting and facing the harsh realities that pop up.
This post can easily turn into a pity party. But anyone that really knows me, knows that I don’t roll like that.
I find the good in each situation only because there is so much here to learn and that finding the joy in the process is what makes life worth living. I often wonder why people have a difficult time with speaking their truth, only to realize that speaking their truth is what helps themselves and other people that can find their own truth and can relate.
What I feel is that this world is changing very fast. In order to really step into and be in the flow of the new energy that is emerging on this planet, is to constantly focus on the good you already have. As you begin to focus on the good that is here, you make way for the good that will continue to come. It is fine to recognize and accept the pains of life as there, but to be a victim to it is not going to help yourself or anyone.
We need boldness, and clarity of purpose to feel the joys and fulfillment of what the new energy on this planet has to offer all of us.
When we step into this space of clarity and empowerment we become sane in our minds again. We don’t look at life like it’s me against the world, but with strength in humility knowing we are just all in this journey together. Riding the highs and lows, but staying true to our vision of the lives we intend to create.
It is easy to just say the world is insane, and to look at all the problems that are surfacing in real time. This is the reason why people of more sensitive energies can feel the weight of the world on their shoulders turn to other activities that are a form of escape.
But, I urge the fellow lightworkers to be bold and remain in their high vibrational frequency. Understand that the more you stay in alignment with who you really are and not mask it just to conform to this insane societies demands the more you will feel empowered and in a better place to make a difference in the world in a positive manner.
Today we need bold people, to step into their inner truths and convictions. I speak a lot about the importance of going with the flow of life. But, it must be your flow. It must be the flow that you create for you. Being bold is necessary today, because it is easy to watch a disturbing movie like Shutter Island and think you are going “insane.” When in reality the only insanity there is, was with the intent of the writers and producers in making a film that urges people to tap into that realm of confusion and darkness. I don’t deny the darkness, for it is there, but I do recognize that what we focus on expands.
I choose to focus on light and things that uplift not bring people down. This is what it means to be a lightworker. It isn’t an easy task, but it is what I chose. Being bold does require courage and inner strength.
To continue to be yourself, when the world demands other things. There are great rewards for you once you step into this reality. This bold energy that you bring out into the world will bring inspiration and light to the world.
Being bold is necessary today, step into your space of light and empowerment, you will see how this changes things in your life in a major way.
What are some truths that you feel you need the world to understand? Do you think developing a more bold attitude towards this will help you? Please share your thoughts.

Hi Baker – Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comment on my blog. One of my favorite questions to ask of myself is: What choice would I make if I were bold?

Hey Patty,
Thanks for the feedback! Have a great week ahead!!!
Thanks for sharing your story Baker.
Boldness is directness. It’s going from point A to B with no dillydallying in between. Deep down we want to be bold but the inner fears which you mentioned rear their heads and set up detours before we get to point B. Let the fears arise, embrace them for what they are which is waves of energy in the mind, and release them.
Gratitude is powerful. I liken it to our connection to good. When I see the good in things the good in things seem to find their way to me.

Hey Ryan.
I appreicate your feedback. Yes boldness is key today because we have many people choosing paths that may otherwise not serve them well in the end. This boldness does stem from gratitude like you say, beceause when we are grateful for the good that is already here we can operate from a more clearer space with boldness and conviction.
I love that boldness is making a comeback in our verbage. It’s for the non-conformists among us; and I believe we all have it within us to truly honor our unique self.
Thanks Baker for an insightful article – I am all for being bold as that’s what it’s going to take to change the world.
It is only the people who stand up and risk being squashed who can ultimately make a difference.
Also, good on you for sharing more of you and no longer being concered of people seeing you as too deep. It is by showing your true self and being willing to share your vulnerabilities that we can relate more to you and to see your true light:-)
Keep up the great work – onwards and upwards.

Hi Baker,
You’ve given me something wonderful to ponder. In a lot of ways, being an introvert, just having a blog can feel bold. I’ve noticed that my posts would be better off if I were to interject personal experiences more — sometimes I hesitate in doing so, but you’re a shining example of how it helps to connect within and with others.
Thank you for being an inspiration.
Hey Belinda
Yeah boldness is making a major comeback. Thanks for coming to my blog. I appreciate your kind words and feedback.
Hey Arvind,
Good to see you on my blog. I resonate well with what you say here, ” it is only the people who stand up and risk being squashed who can ulttimately make a difference..” It does take a lot of courage but the difference will be made in a major way. Thank you for your feedback.
Hi Kim!
I actually just began implementing more of personal experiences to my blog. Its refreshing that others can relate to where I’m coming from. I have to say it does take a lot out of me to expose this much to my readers, but it is worthwhile if an authentic connection is made. I am happy to be an inspiration to you.
Nice post Baker. That’s a pretty crazy experience that you shared with us in this article from just seeing a movie. I remember watching The Ring (both Japanese and American version), and I still remember the worst parts of that movie. It’s been a few years, and I realized that in order to face your fears, you have to develop a bold attitude. This pertains to basically anything in life where we want to be successful. Thanks for the reminder and good job on the blog. It’s improving!

Hey Hulbert,
Thanks for the feedback. Yeah the movie the Ring was disturbing to me as well. I don’t even know why I go and watch those movies to begin with lol.
Have a great day, thanks for the awesome feedback!
I think that boldness makes life so much easier! If you are bold you are not afraid to be honest, to tell what is on your mind and live your life without any second thoughts.
Boldness, honesty and courage are the main ingredients of a REAL life of happiness, joy and wonderful accomplishments.

the site is looking colorful a bit different from the clear white background you had initially.
i think being bold instils the necessary confidence required and empowers you. I also think it boosts ones morale and gives one the ability to face their worst fears.

Love that name! I’m doing great. I am glad you like my new layout. Yes being bold is very necessary today to grow the confidence that is needed in this world to empower.
Hi Baker, Shutter Island gave me almost the same feeling as you had, and I hated it… About being an old soul – a second point of recognition. About being bold – I kind of preffer to remain in the shadows for now, but good on you for choosing this path while declaring it
Tatiana´s last blog ..Another Award – Happy 101!
Hi Tatiana,
I have grown to understand that everything has its own time. Maybe you will be more bold when the time calls for it in your own life. Thank you for your the feedback.
Baker, it’s interesting that your thinking about boldness also translates into bolder colors on your blog – like inner colors emerging to show themselves with a new courage and optimism.
Thank you for speaking about the need for boldness – it is so true. Now the boldness of our dreams and connections is what inspires us to continue to the next phase of this mythic journey we all undertake, whether we are conscious of this or not.
I also agree with you about boldness being expressed in its own time, which is different for each person. But each of us can be encouraged and inspired by the boldness of the authentic self in others that is unafraid to show itself.

Baker, Bold is the only way to bake the cakes. Creative is the only way to lift the weights. Authentic is the only way invented and I’ll stay living in it.
Don’t know what that means it just started coming out so I went with it.
Thank you for sharing your story.
Oh and I bought your book today, I’ll blog about it for sure.
P.S. I agree with you, sometimes things you fear to share are the things that clear the air and allow you to let go of dead weight. Considering you were talking about a scary movie, I don’t mean dead weight literally lol…
Have a good day Baker…
Peace.

HEy Kevin!
Man, I love the word play and the flow that just comes out from you!
Also thanks for purchasing the book! I’m glad to see you back blogging doing you. Your writing sparks more creative ideas to bounce off of as well.

Being bold is necessary always. Before us, now and after us.
Moreover, I think it’s natural state of human beings.
“What are some truths that you feel you need the world to understand? ” — I think such a thing does not exist. At this moment the world is what it should be. I do not care for anything more.It is my opinion.
Regardless, this is a great post! I love how you clearly show what is in your head. I think you’re very conscious individual.
In particular I liked the following words:
“To continue to be yourself, when the world demands other things. There are great rewards for you once you step into this reality.”

Great write-up. I believe that when you want to shift your thinking or get to a higher level you need two things.
1. Great information resulting in products, mentor etc…
2. Consistency. Information is great but if you don’t practice then you only know what to do and not actually doing what you need to do.
