How The Ego Works & The Value of The PRESENT MOMENT

The ego tells you that you are either way better or way worse than you really are inside. Who you are inside is perfect, whole, and complete. The ego tries it’s very best to sway you off from this understanding. The ego comes in and tries to manipulate this perfection and pure being of light that you already truly are.
The reason?
The ego likes to run around in circles and try to find outward means to fulfill its desire, which is very temporary and leads to future destruction.
To be perfectly honest, the ego is something I’ve had to learn to deal with throughout the course of my life. Luckily I’ve always seemed to attract people in my life that are very egoless and have kept me grounded. Having been in the presence of truly humble and grounded individuals has been a tremendous blessing in my life. I have had public success in my past on an athletic level, playing basketball as a youth and into my teens, and some early literary success as well early on. But, one thing I always had a respect for was the process itself. This is how life is. If you come to life with respect regardless of how very successful of how much failure you receive at the moment, that respect for life, more importantly your own life is what truly matters at the end of the day.
Respecting Your Life
When you respect your own life, you are showing respect to your inner soul and being.
The outward manifestations that you are physically seeing, touching, and having are simply a reflection of who you are already inside.
For example, people that always seem to have material riches, are people that inside are naturally abundant people. Their very being radiates abundance, therefore their outward circumstances allows them to have and acquire the material riches on the outside. Their accumulation of large sums of money is a reflection of their abundant nature within.
This also works in other forms as well. If who you are inside is a very nurturing and compassionate person, you will always be attracting those that appreciate your nurturing nature and compassion. You will also tend to always attract people that may also need that nurturing and compassion.
Who you truly know yourself to be on the inside, is what is reflecting on the outside.
I have so much respect for life, because I know that each day is truly a blessing to be alive. I remain in a constant state of gratitude and appreciation for the small things in life that truly bring me alive and make me happy. One of the approaches to life at the moment that I am just starting to really appreciate is the present moment.
The Value of the Present Moment
It seems the more I get in tune with what is happening right this moment, all the other worries, concerns, regarding the future or past and even the overexcitement and joy about the future seems to diminish and fade quietly in the background as I enter a state of inner peace in the moment.
I have found that being present with whatever activity I am engaged in, whether it is working on my new e-book, going for a jog by the lake (treadmill now, Arizona is hot during this season), wandering in the public library for hours, or having a conversation with amazing people, that this allows that ego mind to quietly shut down. From this space, I operate on a very honest and spirit based place with courage and calm wisdom.
This space allows me to be me, and not overly concern myself with what other people are doing. This does not mean I don’t care about what is happening around me or what others are engaged in at the time. It is just that I know the importance and value of taking time out to truly go inward and feed that inner child inside me that is filled with creativity, peace, joy, and light.
The Current Major Shift On This Planet
The ego shouldn’t be trusted in today’s current society, because there is a major energy shift that will truly begin to favor those that are offering to the world from their true spirit. This comes from their inner creativity, talents, and service to the world.
If you choose to operate from this core energy of who you know yourself to truly be, you will truly thrive and flourish on all levels with this new energy shift taking place on this planet. You will manifest all that you truly desire even way beyond your wildest dreams, if indeed you go with the flow of the exciting and new positive energy sweeping this planet at the moment. Even, if you don’t understand or grasp the more energy based ideas I express here, just know that on a very physical, real, and tangible level, the ideas I express here are backed by science and quantum physics. For those that don’t fully grasp what I write about here, I invite you to do research on quantum physics, and the ancient Mayan Calendar for yourself; I know that freedom to research this stuff yourself will please your logical and linear mind. 
The point here is this, the new energy shift on the planet is offering that opportunity for people that always truly wanted to make a difference in the world at large, to go ahead and do so. That talent you always had for something will be fully supported and guided by this new energy shift on the planet. This indeed is a very exciting and amazing time to be alive and realize our wildest dreams together for the greater good of all concerned.

In my opinion, the ego should not be trusted in any society in history.
Let me say one more thing…
Because of the Internet and mass distribution of books, a lot of people have the opportunity to connect and learn about ego. However, this does not mean that the awareness of population has enormously increased. A lot of people know a lot about ego. But few apply this knowledge.
This is just my opinion…
Of course, we can not make the statistics of people with ego, to prove that claim.

I haven’t looked into the Mayan Calendar, but I’ve noted these changes in how people are doing business, how people interact with others, how people connect within, etc. Challenges give us the opportunity to put our ego down, get present, and have gratitude.
