The Importance of Being Awesome & Why You Need To Spoil Yourself
I recently got back from a 5 day trip from San Fransisco CA. I had a fun and awesome time. Being awesome is something that feels great, and brings a lot of joy to the awesome individual.
Yet, many people still to this day I have discovered are hesitant in allowing their own “awesomeness” out.
If you haven’t read my previous post; the One Tool In Your Life That You Need to Be Awesome, I suggest you read it now.
As you read every word of this blog post you will become stunned at the importance of being awesome for yourself.
Being awesome is simply the difference between positive thinking vs negative thinking.
Being awesome is important whatever age you are, or whatever you are going through in your own life. Being awesome is a state of being that comes from being confident with the inner parts of you. Most people spend way too much time trying to appear awesome on the outside physical level, but the reality is that the true people that shine and make a difference in the world are first awesome from within. There is nothing wrong with dressing up and putting on the finest clothes on. I like nice stuff too, and staying fly. But, the emphasis really should start from within first. There is a great importance of being awesome.
The reason that being awesome is important, is because by being yourself in an awesome way, you begin to really experience more joy and fulfillment in your own life. Let me tell you why. People everyday probably shoot for mediocre results in their life, what makes that persons life not mediocre is how they see themselves and the appreciation they give to themselves each day.
If you aren’t making an effort at least twice a week to truly take some time out for yourself and just appreciate yourself, you are missing out on a lot. It is very easy to just see yourself as others see you, but the remarkable thing is that by taking some time out of your week to just appreciate your talents and yourself.
Appreciate yourself by taking time out to treat yourself to something really nice that you really like. This can be going out and getting a soothing and relaxing massage, treating yourself to a nice movie, a delicious dinner, or hanging out in nature and just enjoying nature fully. I’ll leave the many other ways you can treat yourself to something special up to you.
The thing that I personally really enjoy is chocolate ice cream. Although, since I’ve been out here in Arizona on my own, I’ve maintained a rather healthy eating lifestyle, I love just getting those Drumsticks Ice Cream cones from Nestle, and enjoying myself a good treat, while relaxing out by the beautiful lake close by, right next to the gorgeous trees and green grass. This is what I do to appreciate my own awesomeness. =) I just enjoy myself and have a fun life.
But, the main point is if you get in the habit of treating yourself out from time to time, you get back to your awesomeness. Don’t loose this awesomeness by always helping people out way too much. It is great to give value and service to others fully, and I am guilty of this (tremendous real value as blog posts for free). But, it is equally important to give to yourself as well. This is especially true for people who are in professions where they are constantly giving to others daily.
Treating yourself well and pretty much spoiling yourself brings you back to the idea of “deservance” and allowing yourself to get back in touch with your own awesomeness. When you take what you want for yourself, you are announcing to the world, “I am awesome, and I deserve this.”
Being Awesome,

Very nice Baker! It is very important to indulge and spoil ourselves. If we take everything seriously and do not have fun, then that would affect us in the long run. Thanks for sharing

Hi Baker,
I know, it’s been awhile for both of us. I’ve experienced a similar need to gain clarity on the direction of my blog. I’ve worked with the entrepreneurial crowd, so if you have any questions, feel free to reach out
I’ve transitioned from entrepreneurs to creative talent for the artistic aspect that resonates with me. It’s still great to have supportive friends in the personal development realm.
Your post emphasizes the importance of self-respect and self-love. If we cannot provide this for ourselves it becomes difficult to attract. I’m happy that the law of attraction has brought me here
Have a great week ahead!
