Today is day 6 of my 30 day experiment. As, I write this I acknowledge the events of this last weekend. In all honesty, I was very much out of my comfort zone at the events I attended this past weekend.

I just realized that I hadn’t been to a personal development seminar like this in a long time. Although, I met some highly successful business owners, and great speakers, I still honestly felt a little out of my element. Being in the energy of just being surrounded with self made individuals making more than 200k a month, was nice. These are men and woman that are doing the do, and making their dreams a reality in real time. It made me realize that I had to start to get back into my own mind mapping inspiration again.

Aside, from the material riches they are accumulating, the real positive changes they are making in other people’s lives, as a result of practicing what they preach, is probably the best part of it all. If what you do on a regular basis, is making a real positive difference in other people’s lives in a major way, consider yourself cool with The Baker Man. :)

I had a good time. Even though I honestly felt, out of my comfort zone pretty much 80% of the time, I still felt the need to press on, learn, listen, and really step my networking game up and give my best when meeting all these new people.

As I move along with this 30 day experiment, I see myself just really stretching out my comfort zone. It’s funny, I’ve come to understand we don’t really know what our comfort zone really is until we take bold steps outside of it.

Since I started this experiment I’ve been a lot more open than usual, to hearing other people’s ideas and projects. This has been difficult for me, because I know that in the past I’ve been so single minded on my goals, that I have tended to write off people’s ideas too quickly.

This new paradigm, is stretching me quite a bit, but I feel from this new paradigm, that there is much growth internally that is happening within me behind the scenes, as I say “Yes” to hearing what these talented people have to offer me and what they are bringing to the table.

Listen, with this experiment, I’m just “going with it.” If you feel like you want to get in the Baker flow, send me an email above. In the past I would normally not consider projects easily “like that,” and
I won’t accept everything pitched at me, but within this 30 day experiment I will at least consider your idea.

I am going with it, and flowing. I actually have a lunch meeting with an attractive blond haired, driven, 22 year old female entrepreneur this Wednesday. When she invited me for lunch, I hesitated for a few seconds (my old paradigm), remembered about this experiment I was running and said, “okay, I’ll go!” =)

But yeah, life is going good in the flow, because I’m learning to trust more. It’s both a liberating and scary experience at the very same time, but makes for a pretty fascinating life design experiment to blog about. =)

Stay tunned…
