Baker’s Inspirational Thoughts: How To Stop Trying To Fit In When You Were Born To Stand Out

Acceptance
Accept yourself. Accept others. Accept change.
Sounds easy right? Wrong. It is not easy to accept those three things I just mentioned, especially when the outer world or society is reminding us of what they think we should be.
When there is so much static noise in the outside world taking us away from our core truth, it gets a lot more difficult to actually accept and learn how to accept ourselves, accept others, and accept change. Each word on this page will put you in utter awe as to how accepting yourself will lead to an inspired and positive lifestyle for yourself.
My Personal Growth
One of the things I am moving towards in my own personal growth at this stage is accepting the fact that I am not really like everyone else. This is the challenge I face with currently. I know it sounds silly but, the fact that the more I become myself, the more I find myself distancing myself from ordinary things, ordinary people, and ordinary circumstances.
That may sound strange for people who are not really connected with who they are inside. Or people who are far away or disconnected from their higher self, and accepted being disconnected from their inner core self as the norm.
But, for me I know that being myself there is just so much light and greatness within that space, I know sometimes it puts even me in awe of this glory that is within myself.
The truth is that if I continue on this path with this blog, writing ebooks and doing these amazing epic awesome things, I really won’t be able to fake being ordinary anymore. Like I won’t be able to relate to people who talk about their boring 9-5 job and how much they hate it, and pretend like I know where they are coming from. I can’t go out and have a drink with people and talk about dreams with them anymore, because I am already living the dreams they are still wishing they were living. I can’t be ordinary. I have to accept the fact that I am the most awesome person that everyone that meets me will ever experience in their lifetime. That’s not arrogance, that is the just the purification of my soul and space I am in when I’m connected to Source Energy.
So the stage I am at in my personal growth is learning to accept this change. Learning to not feel bad because I am having tremendous success on here, and can’t logically explain to people what I do as a full time blogger. I have to learn to accept that I have chosen this path and everything that comes with this path. It may not be easy, but it sure is a lot better that I’ve consciously chosen a path that excites me, and a path that I love each day, that makes perfect sense to me, but doesn’t have to necessarily make sense for anyone else. I can sit here and tell you that all this great success happened out of pure luck. But, it didn’t… I created it.
Stop Trying To Fit In When You Were Born To Stand Out
I’m utterly convinced of the power of human thought and true human potential. If you are at a place in your life where things seem a bit off and not going your way, my suggestion is to look back within yourself. What is it you truly want to manifest? No, I am not talking about here what “society” wants you to be, do, or have. But what you feel in your heart you always wanted to be, do, and have. Learn to accept that you have your own dreams. You have to honor those dreams. You have to learn to accept that your dreams may or may not be accepted by others and continue to carry on your dreams regardless, because they are YOURS for a divine purpose. Stop trying to fit in when you were born to stand out.
Be yourself. There is something unique about you and your life’s purpose. Listen to your inner voice and courageously follow that flow. There is something magical that happens when you trust that flow.
As you learn to accept YOUR dreams. You gradually begin to accept yourself, others, and the positive changes you begin to make by going back within and listening to your gut or intuition. Learning acceptance in all forms comes from realizing you may not be like everyone else. Accept being different, that is where you will find your truth. As you find your truth, you find accepting yourself, others, and change to be a walk in the park. As we move collectively into this new year with indeed major shifts are taking place energetically on the planet, it is time to really tune back within ourselves and honor our core inner nature with integrity and grace.

Hey Baker nice post. The part where you said that the more you learn about yourself the more you notice you are different from everyone else is so true. It’s a good sign you’re noticing it because you really are discovering that you are unique. People who are interested in developing themselves are often the people I love the most because they are so much more unique than everyone else. They don’t care about fitting in, what they do care about is enjoying their lives no matter what other people think.
Hey Kian,
I agree that one of the things I truly enjoy is personal growth and development. I’ve come to a place where self awareness and developing my own self has brought me tremendous financial success and truly rewarding positive relationships. It truly is a wonderful life process, that I am grateful to continually experience in this lifetime.
I like what you have written and especially the title “Stop trying to fit in when you were born to stand out.”
So often we try to fit everyone else’s criteria, when we just need to be ourselves and fit what we really are; us.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks LTodd for stopping by! Glad you like this post. Yeah, trying to fit into everyone eles’s criteria never works out. =)
