BakerTheBrand.com Getting Listed On Alltop
“Knowing trees, I understand the meaning of patience. Knowing grass, I can appreciate persistence.
I’m going to buy myself my favorite chocolate ice cream, Chocolate Fudge Brownie from Baskin Robbins to celebrate this nice victory. I’m happy Baker. =)
I can tell you that blogging is not easy. Everyone that has ever tried to blog, or continues to blog knows that it is a challenging platform to really get into and stay persistent with. I like to use the metaphor as seeing your blog like a plant. In order for it to grow you need to nurture it.
One of the advantages I know I do have in the entire blog sphere, is that I actually do love to write. I have heard of bloggers who see blogging as a great way to earn a passive income, but they have to force themselves to write. I just write because it comes naturally to me. I never get writers block.
So when advertisers come to me with offers or people wanting to guest post on my blog or do other promotions with me, they know that there is a real person actually running the blog. Yes, I do charge a small $5 for guest posts to be featured on my blog that relate to spirituality and personal development. But, 80% of the articles are written by me personally.
A lot of my inspiration to write comes from a lot of real life experience. I do read a lot of books and have a passion for spirituality and personal development. My library consists well of over 100′s of books on personal development and spirituality.Soon I will start recommending on my blog, the books, and products that have really made a deep and positive impact on my life.
I actually live the life I write about. So it isn’t just theory. This is my life you are witnessing. I credit my higher self for writing a great deal of my posts. Sometimes when I’m writing an inspiring post, I literally feel like I’m having an outer-body experience. Where my fingers are doing all the thinking effortlessly and my mind just goes off to another realm. It’s a very liberating and peaceful feeling. I’ve mentioned in previous articles this state of flow.
Successful blogging is not all work and no play. There needs to be a even and nice balance, as I’ve written in a previous article about Blending the Concept of Wu-Wei and 80-20 Principle With Effortless Success
If you are ever fortunate enough and put enough time and effort on your own blog and eventually earn your spot on getting listed exclusively on Alltop it’s great because they have these really fun banners that you get to select from. I really like the one I chose below it pretty much says it all. =)
If you are a blogger and are passionate about what you blog about, I urge you to continue blogging! People need to hear what you have to say, and love to read about the quality products you’ve used and recommend to others. If you are an advertiser wanting to work out a win-win deal with me contact me.
Make this exciting new year, the year you finally begin to follow your heart. Following your heart may very well be the road less traveled. But, I know you will be rewarded and learn a lot about yourself and life along the wonderful journey.
