Why You Shouldn’t Work For The Man in 2012 (Law of Attraction Style)
“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.”
-Henry David Thoreau
This is the law of attraction style post that will show you why you shouldn’t work the man in 2012.
Okay. I get it. You need to pay your bills. But, what if your passion and working for the man are not aligned? What if you already have outgrown your job? Doesn’t it get frustrating being told what to do all the time, when to come into work, and taking orders, having a set paycheck that isn’t the true income of what you know to be worth?
Listen, the only orders I know is the orders I am giving to the universe, and having the universe respond to me PRONTO via the law of attraction.
In my real life experience early on, I do know personally it can be difficult to even begin live a life that you create. It’s actually pretty daunting the mere fact that you are actually creating your reality isn’t it? You can read my own personal horrible working under a boss stories before I knew anything about the law of abundance here.
Stepping into a new space for yourself means owning up to what you are creating in your daily life. If you’ve been working under a boss for so long and just putting up with his way of treating you for so long, why is that?
- The Great Things About The Law of Attraction
Isn’t it time to really evaluate what you are creating that experience. One of the great things about the law of attraction and knowing how to properly manifest through law of attraction is that once you, fully get it that you are creating the reality you have now, you can gradually begin to focus more on what it is you do want to create v.s what you don’t want.
The reason is because most of us were not taught that we are the authors of our own destiny. We weren’t taught to believe that we actually create our own reality.
If you guys have read any of my previous blogs, you will always see that I mention that I continue to have tremendous success, financial success, and great relationships with others.
Although the statements are all true. I constantly intentionally plug those statements and variations of those statements into my posts because that’s what I want to create even more of. I am what I am, because I say it to be true.
This blog is actually just one long exciting journey of a self fulfilling prophecy. I just enjoy it.
- Positive Thinking In Training
When people wonder how I continue stay so positive in my blog posts and if they are ever fortunate enough to meet me in real life, its because I practice a certain mindset until it became a habit.
I mention the metaphor that creative visualization as being used as like a muscle in order for it to grow stronger, one must gradually work to develop it.
So, if you are no longer happy with the type of work you are doing. I don’t suggest quit right this minute. But, I do suggest taking some time out of your day preferably in the morning to start visualizing and seeing yourself doing the type of work that you were always meant to be doing, Work that is exciting, and that brings joy to your life. The type of work that allows you to earn passive income. So you can do more of what you actually enjoy and less of what you don’t by properly applying creative visualization.
You shouldn’t work for the man in 2012, because you can create the reality that you choose. You can actually design the type of lifestyle that you are best suited for and feel is best for you.
- Facing the Fear and Doing It Anyway
Not working for the man in 2012 actually comes down to facing your F.E.A.R
Fail
Early
And
Responsibly
By simply being willing to make mistakes, and learn from them is a true measure of ones character.
It really is about learning and be willing to make mistakes. The more mistakes you make the more you get to learn how to overcome them the next time.
I love this John Wooden quote:
“If you’re not making mistakes, then you’re not doing anything. I’m positive that a doer makes mistakes.” ~ John Wooden
- Creative Visualization As A Daily Practice
If you can discipline your creative visualization away from what you don’t want, and more into what you DO want to experience in this case a perhaps creating your own business, or working your passion more you will eventually see results. You have to trust and have faith in your ability to create your reality the way you want it to be. Imagine in detail what you want your ideal work day be like. How does it feel? Go with that positive, refreshing, uplifting feeling into your creative visualizations to activate the law of attraction. That positive emotion that you are feeling is indication that essentially that is your core vibration. That positive feeling is who you truly are. Align with that core energy and get in the habit of practicing that vibration into your daily creative visualizations.
From an income perspective. The goal should be financial freedom. Or put very simply,
Earn enough passive income to easily afford your desired lifestyle.
Now, if you have a high standard for your lifestyle, then building the passive income you need maybe more challenging. However, if you stick to a more minimalist lifestyle for a bit, you’ll see that building passive income streams will come a lot quicker and easier because it seems psychologically more attainable.
As people begin to wake up to their true nature. Their true selves, they too become the authors or their own destiny. Regardless if it is career, relationship, or health related know that you are the creator of your own reality. What you focus on expands. What is your focus for 2012?

Love how you spelled out “FEAR” as “fail early and responsibly.” That’s what I’m trying to do in my early 20s in order to achieve an independent life in the next few years.
Great post Baker. BTW, did my suggestion to “tweak” the wording of your menu item above get any good results? I hope so!
See you tomorrow at Dot Com Pho,
