Spirit Guides
When I was 5 years old, I can remember talking to what adults would call, “an imaginary friend” except I remember very clearly at age 5 that this “imaginary friend” was talking back to me. We would have talks about all types of things. It wasn’t until much later that I discovered that that was my spirit guide I was having a conversation with. This article will give you a simple introduction to what spirit guides are. I hope by the end of this introduction to spirit guides, you have a good understanding of what spirit guides are and how to call and receive messages from your own spirit guides.
What Are Spirit Guides?
Each person on this planet is assigned one spirit guide. Sometimes you may have more than one. It depends on your mission you are working to accomplish on this earth. Recently, I’ve been getting into a space again where I’m communicating with my spirit guides again.
Are Spirit Guides and Angels The Same Thing ?
A spirit guide is not an angel. A spirit guide is a spirit that has once incarnated into this planet earth before. They either chose you or you chose them to come along with you in this current lifetime. Angles on the other hand have never lived a physical life incarnation. We all have a different number of angels coming in and out of our lives to help us on earth, depending on what lesson we have chosen to experience during a period of our life.
Spirit guides are always with you. I know that sometimes it is more difficult to contact my spirit guides, when I am not in that space of accepting their guidance. I can either be way to caught up in other activities that don’t allow the guidance. But, very simply put the guidance comes really want you simply ask for it.
Simply Ask Your Spirit Guides
Simply state to your spirit guides, that you request for their guidance on a certain issue, and they will deliver the message to you. It just takes getting used to. You can feel if you are receiving message from your spirit guides, or if it is your own thought. Connecting with your spirit guides, requires you to listen quietly to them. One way of practicing this is through meditation. When the mind is clear, you can have a better channel to that realm that the spirit guides operate from.
Benefits of Connecting With Your Spirit Guide and Trust
The benefits of having a communication with your spirit guide or spirit guides, is you feel more on track with your life purpose, and you find that there is a lot more clarity in your day to to day activities. You can ask your spirit guides anything. For example, if you are having problems with your finances and need some help with best ways to manage your money for example, they will help point you in the right direction to get the assistance you need. Or if you want help with generating ideas for a new project, they will be more than willing to assist you. The key is to not feel weird, crazy, or afraid to ask for guidance. They are always there, waiting for you to connect with them. Your spirit guides are always with you. Tune into your spirit guides energy and you will hear and or see them. =) This has been a simple article introduction to spirit guides.
I too had an imaginary friend as a child that I talked to all the time. I remember once that I had my dad keep the door of the car open longer so my “imaginary friend”, spirit guide, could climb into it. I know I had many conversations with the guide. We need to take those things more seriously with our children.

I don’t have children, but when they do speak to imaginary friends being sensitive to the fact they are simply talking to their guides or angels is something parents can easily help them through, so the next generation comes equipped well with clearer communication with their angels and guides as adults, instead of being fearful of judgement.
